So what can you do to help reduce the chances of having an accident when you're tired.
Plan Ahead
If you know you're going to be doing a lot of driving the next day, do your best to get a good nights sleep
Keep Cool
If you feel yourself becoming tired open a window or turn the blowers down to cold
Take Regular Breaks
You should take a break every few hours. Stop at a service station and get something to drink and stretch your legs. Make sure that you do this regularly and you are aware of the time limits you must adhere to.
Radio
Turn up the radio to help prevent your mind drifiting off.
People who drive for a living have a set of rules that they must follow regarding the amount of time they can spend behind the wheel, if you're not sure how long you're allowed to drive for we suggest you ask your employer or find out as soon as possible because you could face a fine of £5000 and points on your licenese if the police find out you have broken the rules.
